Treat time fun! Saltdough recipe

Friday afternoon was a time to enjoy choosing what we wanted to do as a reward for filling our pasta jars.   Ash Class painted firework pictures, dressed up, played with the cars, played with all their show and tell toys and with playdough too. They always seem to have fun with the playdough at Golden Time every week - so here is the recipe for you to make at home too.

3 cups flour
1 cup salt
6 teaspoons cream of tartar
3 cups water
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Food colouring
  • STEP 1Mix all ingredients together in a medium sized saucepan.
  • STEP 2Stir over heat until mixture thickens, then cook for about 5 minutes.  Knead dough for a few minutes and add more more flour if too sticky. 
  • STEP 3Allow to cool and store in a well sealed plastic bag or container.
