The magic finger

During our reading session today we were role playing the parts of the story we have read so far. This helps us really understand what the characters say and feel.

Geography - Symbols and key

We have been looking at the various symbols on a map and using the key to learn what they mean.
We had great fun researching various ones on the ordnance survey maps.

Who Am I?

We had an unexpected addition to our Science lesson this morning!

There was lots of discussion about whether this was a natural habitat for a tadpole.

Then, a great group work challenge sorting animals to their habitats, and explaining why they are suited to these environments.

This work led to some fantastic riddle writing, giving clues about the hidden animal, including where it lives!

Wincombe Woods Walk

We had a walk in Wincombe Wood today to find out which animals live in the wood and what makes the wood a good habitat.

Can you spot the different habitats we found today?

Our traffic survey

We counted the traffic at Wincombe Lane and then compared it to the traffic we spotted at Christies Lane.

We decided that Christies Lane was the busiest because we saw the most traffic.
