Rocky and Sidney answer questions from Walnut Class

We thought of LOADS of questions to ask Rocky and Sidney!  Rocky and Sidney will have a go at answering them:

Rocky says: " Santa can fly fast because he is powered by REINDEER POWER!  Reindeers are AWESOME"!
Sidney says: " Rocky eats lots and lots and lots of carrots.  I eat choc ices, ice cream and lollies".
Rocky says: "We got here early this morning with our friends Rudy and Sooty who have gone to visit Ash Class.  We left Santa's Grotto last night to fly to Shaftesbury".
Sidney says: " Father Christmas is a bit tubby because of all the mince pies he eats on Christmas Eve.  He does love a mince pie".

Rocky says:  "Father Christmas can get round the whole world in one night because he has REINDEER POWER!  Reindeers are AWESOME"!  (Sidney says it also helps that there are different time zones around the world so that the night lasts a bit longer).
Sidney says: "You all know how many reindeer Father Christmas have after you read 'Twas The Night Before Christmas' this afternoon in Reading Detectives -can you remember?  Dasher, Dancer, Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid, Donner and Blitzen.  Plus Rudolph, Rocky and Rudy of course".
Rocky says: "Not all reindeer are brown, some are white and grey.  We like to play tummy slides on the ice but Father Christmas tells us off because it's a bit dangerous".
Sidney: "Mrs Claus doesn't usually go with Santa on Christmas Eve as she has lots of things to do back at Santa's Grotto.  We do have an advent calendar counting down to the most exciting day of the year: CHRISTMAS EVE!"

Rocky and Sidney say thank you so much for your questions!  There were lots more too, you did a great job of writing them.
They hope there will be loads more tomorrow about their sneaky overnight adventures!
Here are some pictures of them helping you write the questions this morning:

What were the Adventurers up to on Monday?

What did they get up to once you had all gone home?  It looks like naughty Rocky Reindeer got his wish to get into Mr Lavis' office!

What would you like to ask them about their adventures with Mr Lavis?

A Special Arrival...

An exciting letter has arrived for Year 2 over the weekend.  It looks like we are going to have some special visitors spending some time with us this week:

Wintery Words

Our Kenning poems are on display!

They all show fantastic word choices, and a really good understanding of what a Kenning poem is.

Could you write another Kenning poem to share at home?

Christmas decorating!

Walnut class also enjoyed decorating our Christmas tree... what a beauty!   Mrs Hatcher has very kindly lent us her advent book - each day there is a tiny Christmas book for us to read and then hang on the tree.

Ash Class Treat

Like Walnut class we filled up our pasta jar for good behaviour and went to the park playground to enjoy ourselves. Mrs Peterson is really proud of you all and had a great time with you too, though I wasn't brave enough to go on the zip wire.

It's christmas time!

We decorated our Christmas tree in Ash Class and are having fun guessing what could the picture be in our advent calendar each day. We are also using our maths skills to work out how many days it is until Christmas.
