Practical Place Value in Walnut

As part of our INSPIRE learning, we focused on working as part of a team in Maths this morning.

Mrs Tatman wrote a number on the whiteboard, and we had to find the correct number of hundreds, tens and ones.

              

                                                                   

It was great fun, and earned lots of gems for the reward jar!

Put It In The Past!

A quick reminder from Mr Thorne, of some of the past tense verbs we have used in our writing this week.

Maths Rotation Next Door!

On our first Thursday back, Ash class got stuck in with some place value work.

We practised writing our numbers,

Finding 1 more or less, or 10 more or less.

We practiced our counting and place value on the IPads. Ash class love the App Todo Maths.

We also worked with Mrs Hatcher, rolling a dice to make a two or three digit number and then partitioning it into hundreds, tens and units.

Maths Rotation

We tried to get our Maths brains back into action this afternoon with a mix of activities.

Lots of Mental Maths, and some super Think, Draw, Solve!

                     

                    

Festive News

We had a super morning, sharing all of our holiday antics!

There was time to chat.....

                 

 ...... and listen carefully.

Then, we planned what we were going to write, using some picture cues, and words to remind us.
