Straw Rockets

We investigated forces today. We made straw rockets and made them fly! We discovered that the stronger the force was, the further it would travel.

Pancake Making!

Today we tested out our knowledge of command sentences to make pancakes.  Remember that command sentences are bossy but not rude!

Making pancakes also helped us with some other learning - we talked about how the heat changes a liquid to a solid.  We also looked at fractions, we all got 2 quarters of a pancake each.  We knew that this was the same as one half.

Using The Suffix *Ness

We will be looking at how to use this suffix in our Book Day Literacy work tomorrow.

Have a look at this video to get you started!

Queen of Questions and Sid's Statements!

In Ash class this week we have been learning about different types of sentences.

Statements (tell sentences),  the sentences that give us information and questions (ask sentences), the one that ask us a question.

We had to think pr questions for some statements as well as remembering the special type of punctuation that goes on the end of a question. Can you guess it????????? 😁

We then made pancakes and thought about Command sentences (the ones that give you orders!)
I discovered Ash class are very bossy!

Maths Rotation

On Tuesday, Ash class looked at division. We used shared multi-link to support our learning.
