Does Cheese Grow On Trees?

Walnut class started the morning by having a look at some food that Mrs Tatman brought in from home, and tried to work out where it came from ~ not Tesco!

Mrs Yarwood lent us a book that is full of food facts, and is fantastic at explaining the journey of some foods we eat every day.

Mrs Vining's group presented their posters to the class, reading interesting information they now know, about how some foods are made.

Can you find out where your dinner came from?

Celebrating Passover

At the end of this week, will be continuing to find out about Judaism, and the celebrations that are important to Jewish people.

This clip explains some of the key ideas that will be useful to know.

Exploring types of sentences

Today we used all of the different types of sentences we knew to retell a fairy story. Some of us needed to try to use four different types of sentence in our writing: statements, commands, exclamations and questions.
Some of us then looked at our work with Mrs Turner and used different colours to highlight each sentence type.

Clock Making Time!

Exclamation Sentences

What funny sentences they are!

Today we have been looking at exclamation sentences. The rules that make one are very strict! We played Granny Gossip to have a go at putting exclamation sentences together and then we wrote some after play. We had to go careful not to confuse them with questions!
