Times Table Practice Books

Grown ups,
Soon your child will be bringing home their times tables practice book.  We have explained to the children that these can be used to practise writing their tables in and out of order and also to log any spoken practice you do with them at home. The class teachers will monitor these books but if children feel that they have really mastered a table, we would love for them to come and tell us!
Happy practising!

Our Next Steps Learning

Today we thought more about what we needed to do in our Maths learning from last week's work on multiplication. Some of us looked again at what x means and now we all have the hang of it!
Other people worked on problem solving. These weren't easy but nobody gave up! There was lots of thinking pink, talking about our work and then correcting ourselves. Great stuff!

Snowman Soup

Sidney and Sooty Snowman left us a recipe for Snowman Soup today.  We thought carefully about what the ingredients of the soup were and why. Some of our ideas were delicious, others were disgusting!

Where have they been hanging around over the weekend?

Clever Kennings!

Reindeer lover,
Chimney climber,
Beard scratcher,
Sleigh rider.

Can you think of a title for this Kenning?

We had a super time sharing, then rewriting our Kennings on Friday.

They are displayed outside the Year Two classrooms, so make sure you have a look!
