Poetry Please!

We spent some of this morning in Walnut, exploring different types of poems.

There was lots of thoughtful feedback, and some really great ideas!

Then we wrote our own acrostic poem. Can you remember what you wrote?

Get Beaten by the Biggest Number!

We played a dice game today to test out our place value knowledge. We had to roll the dice and then move the digit around to make the biggest number. The one with the biggest number wins the point.

Exploring Number Properties

We enjoyed our Maths split in Walnut today! We played lots of different games to help our place value understanding. Some of us played Nice or Nasty to help to read and understand thousands numbers. Others worked to investigate the different properties of numbers.

Down on the Farm

We are looking at poetry this week. We started the day practising our poetry reading skills, trying to perfect our expression.
Then we took a look at the language choices in the poem and tried our best to improve them.
