Ash Class travels around the World

Ash Class really enjoyed reading all the postcards that were sent to school from as far away as Greece and France during the holidays. We have marked them up on our display board world map. Our role play area is full of costumes from around the world and the children love dressing up. The book we are reading at the end of the day is The Magic Perambulator and we have been imagining we are on a magic carpet and thinking about where in the world we would like to fly to. The Magic Carpet is going to play a big part in the story as we read it over the next few weeks. We will be looking at atlas' and thinking about all the amazing things we can see and do in lots of different countries. If you want to look up some facts and photographs of some of your favourite countries a good website to look at is on Time for Kids: We would love to be able to share some of what you have found out on our class gallery display board.

Enjoy looking at the world map and deciding which country you would like to go to. Can you remember the names of the continents? Let Mrs Peterson know if you can remember them!
