Fun at the Hawk conservancy

We had such a great, though soggy day, at the hawk conservancy. We met the secretary birds from Africa (Mrs Peterson's favourite), saw the mother vulture feeding her chick in its nest high up in the trees, were amazed by the huge sea eagles, and tried to see if our arms were as wide as the wingspan of a vulture! Some of us finished off the day by trying to look like Boris the sulky vulture in the book we had read the previous week, but this time with real sulky vultures in the background! The flying display was brilliant with Mrs Hatcher and several children having to duck as the birds swooped over their heads.
We all managed to stamp our bird passports and read the information notices about each bird as we walked around.
