Island Charter RRS

On Thursday and Friday, we wrote our own Island Charters linked to our learning about The Magna Carta.

First, we had the chance to discuss and write some notes about our ideas.

Can you remember what you thought was important?

Then, we turned our notes into a charter, deciding on which were the most important ideas for ourselves. In Ash Class we decided that we would try living without rules and to see what happens. The treasure pot of jewels wasn't enjoyed for long before the robbers came  . . .
It was decided that "it was a bit tricky to live where anyone could do anything. " Someone else suggested that having a mayor or president might help.  It did help us to focus on what would be important to put in our Island charters.

Some absolutely super work ~ your islands sound like great places to be if everyone follows the rules!
