Habitats

Year 2 went habitat hunting today.  We explored our school grounds to see what kind of wildlife might live there.
Danny found a nest in a tree.
Dean found a ladybird living under an old pot.
There were LOADS of spider's webs in the gazebo,

We searched in the flower beds and found lots of woodlice hiding in the dark.
They also liked hiding in the damp conditions provided by a brick.

Theo found lots of creepy crawlies hiding under this brick.
Rachael found some caterpillars living close to leaves to munch.
Lots of creatures were enjoying eating the dead and decaying leaves.

We also looked at creating our own perfect habitats for some animals.
