Ash Street Architects

Following on from our building of Tom Farrinor's bakery in the Autumn term we decided to put our building skills to the test again.
We read the book The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig as part of our Something Silly topic and decided to build a house like the three wolves.

We had to choose a 3 digit number to build a house using what we knew of Hundreds, Tens and Units to match the amount shown on our number card.

Was it better to choose a number with a high number of 10s in?  Was it possible to make a door if we only had 1 unit in our number? These were all questions we had to think about.

We then had to place our houses in the right order along Ash Street which was quite tricky, but we did it!

Do come in and see Ash Street for yourselves.
