We had great fun using the I-Pads to find Shaftesbury and then pinpointing on satellite pictures where our school is. Some of us even managed to find our houses! We followed streets and rivers on satellite photographs and maps. Some of us even went as far as the moon and looked down on the whole earth.
We then followed this up by sorting different features from rural and urban landscapes into a venn diagram. School, village, hotel, railways and pond were among many features as a source of discussion within each group before deciding where they should be placed.
