Amazing diaries of the Great Fire of London

We have been busy over the past week writing our own diaries of the Great Fire of London.  First we acted out all the different events including playing the part of King Charles II, Thomas Farrinor and Samuel Pepys himself.  We had to remember all the different events on each day and then add our own details like  how we rescued our dogs from the fire, carried our baby sisters and escaped on boats down the River Thames.   We had fun making the front covers of the diaries look old by staining the paper with tea, Mrs Turner and Mrs Peterson were amazed by all the brilliant writing that went on for pages!  Mr Lavis also got to see your fantastic writing too. Well done -- you could be the next Samuel Pepys of Shaftesbury . . .
