Snowman Science!

Walnut Class spent time this morning exploring this investigation question.

Miss Guest had created 5 'snowmen' to help us find out.

What did we do? Why did Mrs Tatman have to cut the material?

What is your prediction?

Silent night - Lyrics

Silent night
Silent night, holy night
All is calm and all is bright
Round yon virgin, mother and child
Holy infant, so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace, ooh
Sleep, sleep in heaven, heavenly peace.

No room, No room - Lyrics

No room, No room
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
There is somebody at the door.
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
No room for anymore.

Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
There is somebody at the door.
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
No room for anymore.

CHORUS
No room, no room,
We’re full up,
No room, no room,
Bad luck!

Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
A traveller needs some sleep.
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
No room here since last week.

CHORUS
No room, no room,
We’re full up,
No room, no room,
Bad luck!

Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Mary needs some sleep
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
There is a stable going cheap.

CHORUS
No room, no room,
We’re full up,
No room, no room,
Bad luck!

Angels singing - Lyrics

Angels singing

I heard an angel singing in the heavens
I heard an angel singing hallelu
Told us boys don’t be afraid
I bring you good news today
Jesus has been born for you!

I heard an angel singing in the heavens
I heard an angel singing hallelu
Told us boys don’t be afraid
I bring you good news today
Jesus has been born for you!

Oh we saw angels singing in the sky
Angels, praising god on high
Oh how wonderful, glorious a sight –
All the angels that were here tonight!

I heard an angel singing in the heavens
I heard an angel singing glory be
I declare in all my days
I’ve not heard such mighty praise
Boy they’re making history

Oh we saw angels singing in the sky
Angels, praising god on high
Oh how wonderful, glorious a sight –
All the angels that were here tonight!

I heard an angel singing in the heavens
I heard an angel singing songs of joy
Peace on earth good will to men
Get yourself to Bethlehem
There you’ll find a baby boy!

Oh we saw angels singing in the sky
Angels, praising god on high
Oh how wonderful, glorious a sight –
All the angels that were here tonight!

Oh we saw angels singing in the sky
Angels, praising god on high
Oh how wonderful, glorious a sight –
All the angels that were here tonight!

Along to Bethlehem - Lyrics

Along to Bethlehem

Mary and Joe had such a long way to go
They had to travel to where they were  born
Those were the days they had no buses or trains
And it was 70 miles or so

So a donkey carried Mary along to Bethlehem
Not a comfy kind of journey
But God took care of them

Mary and Joe had such a long way to go
They had to travel to where they were  born
Mary was tired she was expecting a child
She would prefer to have stayed back at home.

So a donkey carried Mary along to Bethlehem
Not a comfy kind of journey
But God took care of them
So a donkey carried Mary along to Bethlehem
Not a comfy kind of journey
But God took care of them

So a donkey carried Mary along to Bethlehem
Not a comfy kind of journey
But God took care of them
But God took care of them

We looked at Pieter Breugel's painting of Children's games. Painted in 1560.

We tried to spot all the games everyone was playing. We thought about why the children and adults able to play out in the streets at this time? What the toys were made from? What was different about life in general at this time
