Then we found out all about Thomas Blood who tried to steal the Crown Jewels in 1671! (The Horrible Histories clip is earlier on the blog). We designed our own traps and security measures to protect the Crown Jewels using different units of measurement. Great ideas included 70 litres of toxic slime, a 200kg wrecking ball, 20 metre long snakes and stepping stones filled with 200g of exploding powder!
